[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 15th that the 9th and 10th Muan-gun Sports Association President Inauguration and Retirement Ceremony was held at the Seungdal Culture and Arts Center Small Auditorium in Muan-gun, with about 300 attendees including heads of sports organizations by category.

Due to the revision of the National Sports Promotion Act prohibiting local government heads from concurrently serving as sports association presidents, Park In-bae, who was elected as the first popularly elected Muan-gun Sports Association President on the 4th and inaugurated this time, expressed his ambition, saying, “Through communication and harmony among sportspeople, I will establish a foundation for the promotion of elite sports in the county and carry out sales administration by actively promoting the revitalization of each sport.”

In response, Kim San, Governor of Muan-gun, requested, “I hope that under the leadership of President Park In-bae, sports will play a cornerstone role in the development of the county and become true sportspeople who are more loved and trusted by the residents.”

A Muan-gun official stated, “We will make 2020 the first year to establish a new status for sports and devote all efforts to the development of Muan sports.”
