Interpark, Sales Analysis of Diet-Related Products from the 1st to the 9th

Many people list dieting as one of their New Year's resolutions, causing the demand for related products to concentrate at the start of the year, comparable to the peak season in summer.
According to online shopping mall Interpark on the 15th, an analysis of the diet-related product category from January 1 to 9 showed that sales increased by 68% compared to the previous period from December 23 to 31, 2019.
In particular, sales of diet supplement products such as Garcinia and raw food increased by 61%, and chicken breast sales more than doubled with a 104% increase compared to the previous period. Chicken breast is analyzed to be the most preferred diet product. The preferred diet product groups were ranked as chicken breast, diet tea/beverages, and supplements such as Garcinia.
Jung Ho-na, product planner (MD) in charge of food at Interpark, stated, "January is a representative peak season for diet-related products along with summer due to the influence of New Year's resolutions," adding, "In the case of chicken breast, which has the highest preference, the variety has become more diverse, receiving strong responses from people who have decided to diet."
