First Among 17 City and Provincial Offices of Education
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Jang Hwikuk) announced on the 14th that it has established the 'Private Kindergarten K-EduFine Support Center' at the Gwangju Early Childhood Education Promotion Institute, becoming the first among the 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education.
The support center provides services such as EduFine user training, operation of a permanent training center and EduFine call center, and customized on-site support tailored to each kindergarten.
Since the 1st of this month, the Gwangju Office of Education has formed a permanent dedicated team to introduce and settle K-EduFine in all private kindergartens.
Last year, out of a total of 158 private kindergartens, 69 private kindergartens introduced EduFine (the national management accounting system), including 24 kindergartens required to mandatorily adopt EduFine and 45 kindergartens that wished to adopt EduFine in the first phase.
And with the full implementation of EduFine phase 2 this year, 89 private kindergartens that had not yet adopted EduFine completed their application for EduFine adoption and also completed NICE user information registration and certificate issuance and registration.
The Office of Education plans to purchase computers and monitors (2 units per kindergarten) in January through financial support to improve the EduFine access environment for private kindergartens that adopted EduFine phase 2 in 2020.
On-site inspections will also be conducted to ensure that private kindergartens that have adopted EduFine do not experience inconvenience in connecting to the remote work support system (e-VPN).
Kang Yunseok, head of the Administrative Budget Division of the Office of Education, said, “We will ensure that private kindergartens can receive training whenever users want, considering user convenience so that there is no inconvenience in using EduFine,” and added, “We will operate the ‘Private Kindergarten K-EduFine Support Center’ during weekday evenings and holidays to enhance the public nature and transparency of kindergarten accounting and build trust among parents.”
