[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju Cheol-in] At around 11:37 PM on the 13th, a fire broke out in a 5th-floor hotel room in the Bugok Oncheon district of Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam, causing two guests to inhale smoke and be transported to the hospital.
About 300 hotel guests evacuated outside the hotel in a commotion.
However, no injuries occurred except for the two individuals.
Before the fire brigade arrived, hotel staff immediately extinguished the fire themselves, preventing it from spreading to other rooms.
The fire initially ignited from a wall light near the entrance inside the 5th-floor room.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause, believing the fire was caused by overheating of the light.
