[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] NH Nonghyup Life announced on the 10th that it will launch three types of health insurance, including 'Dangnyo Care NH Health Insurance,' which provides coverage for diabetes diagnosis and complications at once.
The Dangnyo Care NH Health Insurance, to be introduced on the 13th, guarantees 10 million KRW upon diagnosis of diabetes (glycated hemoglobin 9.0% or higher) with the main contract alone, and 20 million KRW each upon diagnosis of cerebral hemorrhage, acute myocardial infarction, or end-stage renal disease after confirmation of diabetes diagnosis.
Additionally, through special contracts, it pays 20 million KRW each for confirmed diagnosis of blindness, a representative complication of diabetes, and foot amputation surgery. It is available for subscription from age 20 up to 65, and coverage can be extended up to age 100 through renewal.
The product lineup has also been expanded to prepare for diabetic complications for those already diagnosed with diabetes. 'Dangnyo Care NH Health Insurance' covers diabetic complications and serious diseases such as cerebral hemorrhage, acute myocardial infarction, and end-stage renal disease for those diagnosed with diabetes. If the insured survives until maturity without serious illness, a no-accident refund of up to 3 million KRW is paid.
Nonghyup Life also introduced 'Heori Up (UP) NH Spine Insurance,' which covers hospitalization, surgery, and oriental medicine treatment related to disc and spinal diseases. It guarantees 500,000 KRW for diagnosis of cervical and other discs, 1 million KRW for specific rheumatoid arthritis, and 200,000 KRW per case for spinal traumatic fractures.
Hong Jae-eun, CEO of Nonghyup Life, said, "We have launched a new product that is more reliable by expanding the scope of subscription and coverage so that both healthy individuals and those with pre-existing conditions can enhance their health protection."
