"See Advanced Amore"… Showcasing 3D Printed Mask Packs at CES

[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Amorepacific, the number one company in the domestic beauty industry, showcased Korea's cutting-edge innovative beauty technologies integrated with information technology at CES, the world's largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA.

On the 9th (local time), Amorepacific exhibited its '3D Printed Customized Mask Pack' at the Innovation Award-winning product showcase in the Tech West Venetian Ballroom at CES. In this space, alongside Amorepacific, various advanced technologies and equipment that won innovation awards this year in fields such as 3D printing, artificial intelligence (AI), smart homes, virtual reality/augmented reality (VR/AR), and the Internet of Things (IoT) attracted visitors' attention.

Amorepacific also set up an 'experience zone' where visitors could try the 3D printed customized mask pack and the LED flexible patch (tentative name) themselves. The 3D printed customized mask pack technology creates a personalized hydrogel mask pack reflecting each person's unique face size and skin characteristics.

The service, which designs the mask pattern in real-time and allows users to receive and immediately use their 'own mask pack' in just five minutes, especially captured the attention of attendees. It features a personalized solution built with six prescriptions for five different facial areas. One visitor said, "It was great to experience a customized mask pack made just for me on the spot." This service will be officially launched in April this year at the IOPE flagship store.

The LED flexible patch (tentative name), first introduced by Amorepacific at this CES, also gained popularity. One visitor commented, "It was nice to directly experience a beauty device product that provides customized solutions for different skin areas, and I think its lightweight design and the ability to use both hands freely are advantages."

The LED flexible patch (tentative name) is a beauty device product that uses a patch-type LED that bends freely and adheres closely to the skin. This product, conceptually designed as a programmed LED patch with ultra-close adhesion to erase traces on expression areas requiring focused care, utilizes the flexible material to maximize contact between the LED light source and the skin. Through this, it enables focused care tailored to skin concerns such as elasticity, tone-up, and soothing deep within the skin.

At a press conference held on-site, Wonseok Park, Director of the Foundation Innovation Research Institute at Amorepacific Technology Research Institute, said, "We will ensure that the innovative solutions of the Korean beauty industry, fused with information technology and showcased at CES 2020 by Amorepacific, reach customers worldwide."

This CES saw participation from over 4500 companies from 161 countries and approximately 180,000 attendees. Including Amorepacific, about 390 Korean companies participated, exhibiting various innovative new technologies.
