[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon sharply criticized Lee Eon-ju, the preparatory committee chairman of the 'Forward to the Future 4.0' party and an independent lawmaker, who described himself as a "conscientious and sensible intellectual," calling him a "soulless political zombie."

On the 6th, Jin posted on his Facebook a comment criticizing Lee in response to a Facebook friend's comment attaching an article that positively evaluated him.

He said, "Thank you for praising Representative Lee Eon-ju," and added, "It seems he appreciated that I tried to speak rightly beyond political camps."

He continued, "If I may speak frankly from an objective perspective beyond political camps, Representative Lee Eon-ju is a truly bad politician," and pointed out, "It seems he tried to move from the Democratic Party to the People's Party to the Bareunmirae Party and then to the Liberty Korea Party but failed."

He then said, "Soulless political zombies must leave politics," adding, "That is the path to political development in this country and the only patriotism that zombies can offer to their homeland."

Earlier, on the 6th, Lee posted on his Facebook, "Although Jin Joong-kwon calls me a traitor, I think he is a conscientious and sensible intellectual before being progressive," expressing support for the former professor.

He continued, "Seeing the indictment related to the daughter’s admission fraud of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, how many students and parents in South Korea were enraged," and criticized, "Despite those facts, Cho Kuk, President Moon, Yoo Si-min, and other ruling forces around them stubbornly claim innocence, resent those who criticize them, and make absurd accusations. Watching this, I even felt fear that this country is not normal."

He added, "Eventually, seeing the prosecution, which is supposed to be investigating deep-rooted evils strictly, being targeted in reverse and Cho Kuk shouting for prosecution reform, which he had never said since taking office, gave me goosebumps," and raised his voice, "How could someone shout for prosecution reform in that situation without being shameless and hypocritical? Damn! We could never be so brazen."

Recently, Jin has been making pointed remarks against the progressive camp through his Facebook, mentioning allegations related to former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk.

On the 2nd, he posted on his Facebook, "During the dictatorship, people with different views were labeled 'communists.' Under Moon Jae-in’s administration, people with different views are labeled 'Jahan-dang' (Liberty Korea Party). Please don’t put me in either camp," he urged.

In another post, he said, "Moon supporters (a derogatory term for President Moon’s ardent supporters), understand this: although they are so fanatical, they are actually good people. They become wolves only within the group, but as individuals, they are as meek as lambs. As individuals, they can’t even say a word. They leave their thinking to others, so when they leave the group, they can’t think for themselves at all," he argued.

He then said, "Let’s have a public debate once at the end of January when I return from abroad," and added, "Moon supporters who want to debate with me, please apply under this post and leave your contact information via message."
