GOT7 and TWICE Check Cards Released... Shinhan Card Partners with JYP Entertainment

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card announced on the 6th that it has launched the 'Shinhan Card JYP Fan's EDM Check Card' (JYP Check Card) in collaboration with JYP Entertainment.

The JYP Check Card was released in four types: Basic, GOT7, DAY6, and TWICE. A distinctive feature is that a certain percentage of the amount spent at domestic and international merchants is accumulated as a donation.

The donation is accumulated monthly without any conditions on the previous month's performance or accumulation limits, and is donated quarterly to the Korean branch of the international non-profit organization 'Make-A-Wish' in the name of JYP artists and their fandoms. For example, if you issue a TWICE card, donations are made in the name of TWICE and their fandom 'ONCE' when using the card. This amount will be used for the EDM project that fulfills the dreams of children with incurable diseases.

This card offers notable benefits related to fan club membership and concerts. Additional discounts are provided when booking concerts hosted by JYP, and discounts are also offered on membership fees when joining fan clubs. Additionally, when booking domestic concerts and performances through Yes24, 5% of the amount spent is cashback, and if you join a specific celebrity's fan club through this channel, 5% of the fan club membership fee is cashback. (Once a month, up to a maximum of 5,000 KRW)

Furthermore, on FLO and Melon, you can receive 5% cashback on music purchases and streaming usage. This is limited to once a month with a maximum of 5,000 KRW, and usage through the Apple App Store or the AI service NUGU is excluded from cashback eligibility.

Various benefits are also provided for the main customer base of people in their 20s and 30s. Customers using public transportation such as buses and subways can receive 3% cashback on fares (up to 3,000 KRW per month). Also, when spending over 10,000 KRW at Olive Young and convenience store GS25, 5% cashback is given. (Once daily, up to 3 times a month, with a maximum of 2,000 KRW cashback per use)

The cashback benefits provided through the JYP Check Card are applied within an integrated limit according to the previous month's performance. The integrated limit is 5,000 KRW for 200,000 to 500,000 KRW, 10,000 KRW for 500,000 to 1,000,000 KRW, and 15,000 KRW for over 1,000,000 KRW in the previous month’s spending. The JYP Check Card has no annual fee and is issued as a Master Platinum Card, an international brand.

A Shinhan Card official said, "We will continue to launch cards and services linked to social contribution according to Shinhan Card’s unique social contribution strategy, taking another step toward the world-class Shinhan that Shinhan Financial Group aims for."
