Korean rock band CNBLUE dominated the music shows of two public broadcasters on the weekend with their latest song “Intuition.”
“Intuition,” that sings of the ominous intuition one has of breaking up with his lover, claimed No. 1 on KBS’ “Music Bank” on Friday and SBS’ “Inkigayo” on Sunday.
“We wish to say thank you to everyone who love our song ‘Intuition’” said CNBLUE members in the acceptance speech on “Inkigayo” where they won the top prize for the first time.
This is the song’s fifth victory on a televised music show after the group’s win on “Music Bank” for two consecutive weeks another two wins on music cable channel Mnet’s live music show “M! CountDown” that airs every Thursday.
“Intuition” is the title track to CNBLUE’s first regular album “FIRST STEP” which is made up of 12 tracks that has recently sold over 100,000 copies since its release late last month, becoming the third idol group after TVXQ and Big Bang to achieve the feat this year.
All 30,000 copies of the special limited edition of "FIRST STEP," released last Thursday, sold out on the day of its release.
Meanwhile, other singers that appeared on the two live stages were TVXQ, Wheesung, K.will, 4minute, Kim Tae-woo, INFINITE, Rainbow, Yangpa, U-Kiss, Brave Girls, Tony An, Orange Caramel, Clover, Maya, Rania, Insooni, Na Yoon-kwon and Brian.
