A new movie starring actor Ryoo Seung-ryong and actress Park Shin-hye cranked in last week, according to the pic's promoter NEW on Tuesday. NEW announced in a statement that Ryoo began shooting the Korean film tentatively titled "December 23," in the city of Daejeon on June 20. NEW also revealed a still shot of the actor taken during the first shooting, which shows Ryoo donned in a bright blue prisoners uniform. The officials explained that the scene is the moment when Ryoo's character meets his cellmates in room 7 for the first time. Ryoo will be playing a slightly mentally challenged man named Yong-goo, who will do anything for his daughter named Ye-seung (Park). The actor made his debut at the age of 15 in a stage musical and has since starred in a number of series and dramas. He is well-known for "Blades of Blood" (2010), "Battlefield Heroes" (2011), "The Frontline" (2011) and "Arrow The Ultimate Weapon" (2011).He recently played the role of a Casanova in the romantic comedy "All About My Wife," co-starring Lim Soo-jung and Lee Sun-kyun.
