INFINITE's Hoya may join tvN's upcoming sitcom

Korean idol Hoya of boy band INFINITE is eyeing a role in an upcoming tvN sitcom to expand his career into acting.An official with tvN told 10Asia on Wednesday that Hoya is in the final stages of working out the details to join the cast of the broadcaster's new sitcom, "Respond 1997" (Romanized title) scheduled to air sometime in June. "Respond 1997" will follow the story of the entertainment industry in the 1990s and is producer Shin Won-ho's second TV sitcom after working co-directing "Old Miss Diary" (KBS, 2004-2005) with producer Kim Seok-yoon.Korean singer Seo In-guk and Eun Ji-won have also confirmed their roles in the show and girl group A PINK's member Eunji is in discussions regarding her appearance. Hoya, whose real name is Lee Ho-won, made his debut as one of the rappers in INFINITE in April 2010.
