Ahn Sung-ki, Lee Byung-hun 1st Asian actors to leave mark on Hollywood's Walk of Fame

Top Korean celebrities Ahn Sung-ki and Lee Byung-hun will take part in a hand and foot printing ceremony at the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame in June, making them the first Asian actors to do so. Ahn and Lee, who were chosen as the leads for the main event of the Korean Film Festival in Hollywood, will cast their hand and foot prints on the Walk of Fame in front of the Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on June 23, according to a press release by Look East Festival on Thursday. Created in 1927, the Walk of Fame has gathered hand and foot prints of 268 actors, directors and producers including Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Clint Eastwood and Brad Pitt. "Lee has been recognized worldwide for his acting in films such as 'A Bittersweet Life,' which was invited to the Cannes Film Festival and 'The Good, The Bad, The Weird' as well as appearing in the Hollywood action pic 'G.I. Joe' series," an official with Look East said in the statement. The firm explained that Ahn has been an honorable figure in the Korean film industry by officials as well as various organizations and for starring in the recent hit movie "Unbowed."
