"1, 2, 3 seconds is all that took for me to fall in love with her," Seo In-ha (Jang Keun-suk) said to himself feeling that time was slowing down as Kim Yoon-hee (Yoona) walked past him on campus.Having gone through flaming love and growing pains as college students in the 1970s, Seo and Kim's love story continues again 30 years later; but this time, with kids.In KBS' upcoming TV series "Love Rain," Jang plays both Seo In-ha living in the 1970s and his son Seo Jun living in 2012, while Yoona takes on the role of Kim Yoon-hee and her daughter Jung Hana. Also, the veteran actor and actress, Jung Jin-young and Lee Mi-sook, play the older version of the aforementioned characters. "The storyline and how it entangles with all these different elements and the characters is something that I wanted to present to the audience for a long time. I know that it has never been done in other dramas," director Yoon Suk-ho said while introducing his first work in six years."It may be confusing to the viewers since it goes back and forth from the 70s to the present time but I feel that the actors did, and is doing, an amazing job in differentiating the characters according to the time period."

On playing dual rolesJang Keun-suk:"This will be my first time portraying a double role and it's kind of a relief because we shot the episodes for the 1970s late last year and recently started shooting for the scenes for the present time......I thought I was going to be confused after shooting for the different time periods but it wasn't as bad as I thought." Yoona:"I was really interested in the concept of playing two roles and while working on 'Love Rain,' I found some quite interesting aspects of love from these two time periods (70s and now). Director Yoon gave me a lot of advice on how to express the two characters and the other cast members helped me on studying the overall characters as well. I was also worried if I could pull off these emotions well and I hope my effort bring out a satisfying result when the show airs. (laugh)" Good old fashioned 1970s' love Jang Keun-suk:"I asked my parents for advice on what it was like for them to live in the 1970s and their love story......it wasn't as lovely as I thought it would be. (laugh) So I asked director Yoon and he suggested that I watch movies and listen to music from 1970s. I thought it was going to be sort of a dark period but found that it wasn't any different from now, in terms of how people think and their love stories. I feel that it would have been fun to live in the 70s." Yoona:"Director Yoon is really into the details so I let my hair down when shooting the scenes for '70s and I wore lace socks and heels. Yoon told me some of his own stories from the '70s and I reflected some of his experiences on the drama in order to make myself feel really in it. I also had to talk less, speak slower than usual and be a good listener.....Also, the 70s gives off this vibe that makes you feel the purity in romance, which is quite difficult to see nowadays." ※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
