Girl group miss A’s pop-style dance number “Love Alone” debuted atop music cable channel Mnet’s weekly singles chart on the first week of May. “Love Alone,” whose lyrics is all in English, was composed by U.S. producer Fuego and first performed at an ice skating show last weekend starring Korean ice skating queen Kim Yuna, the gold medalist of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. “Ma Boy,” a dance number by SISTAR19, the first sub-unit of four-member girl group SISTAR, entered the chart at No. 2 while the previous winner, f(x)’s “Danger” which is also a dance number featuring electronic pop, fell back two slots to settle at third place. On the albums chart, however, f(x) continued to reign over the chart with their first regular album “PINOCCHIO” for the third week in-a-row. Seated at the second place was the compilation album “I’m A Singer: Competition 2” from MBC’s music reality program of the same name which went up a notch from the previous chart. The album features seven top singers in the country including Kim Bum-soo and Lee So-ra competing against each other last month to find out who is the best singer by swapping each other's hit songs.Jay Park’s first solo mini-album “TAKE A DEEPER LOOK” landed third after being pushed back a spot the past week. The album, which encompasses the genres of hip-hop, dance and R&B among others, went on sale late last month. ※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
