Korean girl group 2NE1 [YG Entertainment]
Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am has posted a comment on his Twitter account (//twitter.com/iamwill) about the album he is helping to produce for Korean girl group 2NE1. On Sunday, will.i.am replied to a fan's comment regarding 2NE1's English debut album saying, "I can't wait to finish the 2ne1 album...what we have so far is soo soo good..." In August, Yang Hyun-suk, the CEO and founder of YG Entertainment, announced that the girls have finished recording ten songs with will.i.am, who has offered to produce songs for the group as well as help make their official debut into the pop market in the United States. However, Yang explained that they have yet to set an exact date or detailed plan for 2NE1's debut in the United States since will.i.am is busy with his own group's next album.Meanwhile, the girls have signed with major Japanese recording company AVEX to kick off their singing career in Japan next month. Composed of members CL, Bom, Sandra and Minzy, the girls have been one of the most successful groups in the country since their debut in May 2009. They have enjoyed a successful return to the local music scene with their first full-length album "To Anyone," topping numerous music charts with title tracks "Go Away," "Clap Your Hands" and "Can't Nobody" which they promoted simultaneously after its release in early September. The girls have been busy attending various year-end programs including 2010 MelOn Music Awards and SBS' "Gayo Daejun" as well as performing with YG labelmates Big Bang, Se7en and Gummy during the "2010 YG Family Concert" last month.Black Eyed Peas Will.i.Am's comment about 2NE1's album [Will.i.Am's official Twitter website]
