'Actresses' invited to Berlin Film Festival

Korean film "Actresses" has been invited to the 60th Berlin Film Festival, according to the film's producer Showbox on Thursday."Actresses" is the first Korean film to receive an official invitation to the event and will compete in the Panorama section, Showbox explained in a press release. The category, which introduces films with new artistic style and commercial potential, selects 18 films from countries across the world to be shown at the festival.The festival committee explained that the film was chosen because it is a rare experience to see a country's leading actresses appear in a single movie together and also because the film is unique in its artistic style of allowing the actresses to voice themselves to fulfill the public's curiosity about actresses.The Berlin Film Festival is considered one of the three biggest film fests in the world alongside Cannes and Venice Film Festival. It is known to sell an average of 270,000 tickets and attract about 450,000 people every year."Actresses" stars six of top Korean actresses, Yoon Yeo-jeong, Lee Mi-sook, Koh Hyeon-jeong, Choi Ji-woo, Kim Min-hee and Kim Ok-vin, as themselves shooting a fashion spread for Vogue Magazine.
