On the 28th, Seongnam Mayor Shin Sangjin held a book concert at the Korea Design Center in Yatap-dong, Bundang-gu to celebrate the publication of his book, "Mayor Shin Sangjin's Way of Loving Seongnam." The event drew a large crowd and key figures from the party, making it resemble a de facto kick-off ceremony for his bid for re-election in the upcoming local elections.

An hour before the event began, a long line of citizens and supporters had already formed at the entrance to the exhibition hall, waiting to take commemorative photos with Mayor Shin. The main auditorium of the Korea Design Center was filled to capacity, demonstrating both Mayor Shin's wide popularity and strong organizational power.
The event venue was decorated with records of Mayor Shin's achievements from the past four years in office, as well as accounts of his youth spent working in Seongnam's labor sector during the 1980s. One citizen at the scene said, "I came to support Mayor Shin's determination to address Seongnam's longstanding issues with conviction," reflecting the fervor at the event.
Major figures from the People Power Party were present at the book concert to show their support for Mayor Shin.
In his congratulatory remarks, former National Assembly Speaker Kim Hyungo praised Mayor Shin, saying, "Mayor Shin is a rare figure in today's political circles, possessing honesty, truthfulness, and trust. I have observed him for over 20 years, and he remains an exemplary politician who gets things done."

Ahn Cheolsoo, the local Assemblyman for Seongnam Bundang-gap, quoted Max Weber's 'political virtues,' and assessed, "Mayor Shin is an uncommon administrator who embodies both the ethics of conviction and the ethics of responsibility."
Kim Eunhye, Assemblywoman for Seongnam Bundang-eul, was also present to lend her support, while Seoul Mayor Oh Sehoon, Gyeonggi Province Superintendent of Education Lim Taehee, and North Gyeongsang Province Governor Lee Cheolwoo sent video messages congratulating Mayor Shin on his book publication and emphasizing close cooperation with Seongnam City.
Mayor Shin Sangjin spoke candidly about his journey, from being expelled in 1982 due to a political incident and working as a laborer in the Sangdaewon-dong industrial complex in Seongnam, to serving four terms as a National Assembly member and eventually becoming mayor.
Mayor Shin stated, "Seongnam is not just an ordinary city; it is the heart leading the future industry and innovation of the Republic of Korea. I have dedicated all my experience as a four-term lawmaker and everything in my life to loving Seongnam."

He went on to emphasize, "As I have managed city affairs with the sole focus on the citizens, I have nothing to be ashamed of before heaven. Going forward, I will devote all my energy to the uninterrupted development and fair innovation of Seongnam."
