15 Million KRW Donated to Improve Housing Conditions for Disabled Residents in Seoul
Supporting Home Repair Projects for Disabled Households in Partnership with Warm Companion
The Korea Local Finance Cooperative (Chairman Jung Sunyong, hereinafter referred to as the Cooperative) announced on February 27 that it had donated 15 million KRW on the 24th to the Social Welfare Corporation Warm Companion (Chairman Song Pilho) to support the Seoul Metropolitan Government's home repair project for disabled people.

The donation ceremony took place at the headquarters of Warm Companion in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, with Chairman Jung Sunyong of the Cooperative and Chairman Song Pilho of Warm Companion in attendance. During the event, they discussed ongoing cooperation measures and conducted the donation presentation.
This donation is intended to support housing convenience for disabled residents in Seoul. The funds provided by the Cooperative will be used for various home improvements for disabled individuals living in Seoul, including pipe blockage repairs, door lock repairs, window screen maintenance, and bathroom interior enhancements.
Chairman Jung Sunyong stated, "We prepared this donation with the hope that it would offer even a small amount of help to those struggling with disabilities and their families," adding, "The Cooperative will continue to faithfully fulfill its social responsibility for the local community and strive to walk alongside vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities."
Chairman Song Pilho said, "I would like to express my gratitude to the executives and employees of the Cooperative for joining us in this warm companion initiative for people with disabilities," and added, "We will actively improve the living environments of disabled individuals suffering from housing inconveniences through the donated funds."
Meanwhile, the Cooperative is the only public interest corporation in Korea established to support the sound financial management and development of local governments. Approximately 425 organizations, including 243 local governments nationwide, are members. Based on the spirit of mutual aid, the Cooperative carries out a variety of projects and actively participates in initiatives of companionship and sharing for the underprivileged in the community in accordance with ESG management policies.
