Dr. Ahn Jonghyun is a joint specialist who has consistently performed surgeries focused on the shoulder and elbow (glenohumeral joint) as well as the knee (knee joint). In the shoulder and elbow area, he has extensive clinical experience with complex procedures such as arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and treatment of recurrent dislocation. He places particular emphasis on restoring function and preventing re-injury by tailoring surgical strategies that comprehensively consider the degree of injury, patient age, and activity level.
He also possesses a wide range of surgical experience in the field of knee joints. Dr. Ahn provides step-by-step treatments according to each patient's condition, including cartilage regeneration therapy, stem cell surgery, correction of bow legs, and artificial joint replacement. Drawing on his experience in treating sports injuries, he continues to offer integrated care that considers restoration of athletic function. Dr. Ahn completed his orthopedic residency at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital, served as a visiting professor and clinical fellow at the Shoulder and Elbow Center of Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital, and subsequently held positions as head of the Artificial Joint Center at Hanlim Hospital and head of the clinical department at Medi-in Hospital, accumulating extensive experience in joint surgery and clinical system management.
