A Two-Day, One-Night Program at Gyeongju Gangdong Resort
Focusing on Understanding Hospital Culture and Strengthening Teamwork
SMG Yonsei Hospital, operated by the Happo Medical Foundation, successfully completed its "2026 New Employee Orientation" over a two-day, one-night program held at Gyeongju Gangdong Resort from February 26 to 27, 2026.
This orientation was conducted for a total of 49 new hires, including newly recruited nurses and administrative staff for 2026. The program was designed to help new employees understand the hospital’s core values and adapt smoothly to the hospital’s organizational culture.
Spanning two days and one night, the training featured a range of programs aimed at fostering a sense of belonging and teamwork among the new recruits. On the first day, after a briefing on the overall schedule, there was an "OPEN MIND" session to help participants open up and connect with their peers.
This was followed by special lectures titled "Yonsei People! Brand Yourself" and "Growth Mindset for Recognized Rookies," which encouraged participants to understand their own value and adapt to the hospital’s organization and culture. After dinner, new employees had a Q&A session with the CEO and senior staff, during which they addressed various questions and learned about the hospital’s vision.
On the second day, the core program was the "Team Collaboration Robot Project," a group activity in which participants worked together to build a large robot, experiencing the importance of communication and cooperation firsthand. The orientation concluded with a lecture on the mindset needed for new beginnings, as well as overall feedback and survey collection regarding the program.
A hospital representative stated, "Through this orientation, new nurses and administrative staff had a meaningful time deeply understanding the vision and culture of Yonsei Hospital and bonding with one another. We will continue to provide ongoing education and support to help new employees demonstrate their expertise and grow into outstanding healthcare professionals and practitioners."
The 49 new employees who recently joined SMG Yonsei Hospital are expected to be assigned to their respective departments and officially begin their work after completing the orientation.
