Unveiling a Vision for the Future Through Book Launch
"Administrative Reform to Reshape Structures Is Needed"
Kim Min-tae, Deputy Spokesperson of the People Power Party and a prospective candidate for Mayor of Asan, Chungcheongnam-do, has effectively launched his campaign by unveiling his policy vision through the publication of his new book.
On February 28 at 2:00 PM, Kim will host a book launch event at the Onyang Folk Museum, titled "Kim Min-tae's Future Asan Strategy: Can Asan Change in the Age of AI?" where he plans to present directions for urban management innovation.
Far beyond a simple book event, this gathering will serve as an opportunity to share with citizens his ideas for restructuring the city's overall framework, including transportation, industry, education, welfare, culture, and tourism.
The book, drawing on Kim's experience in both the National Assembly and local administration, diagnoses the reasons why policies often fail to work in practice and emphasizes the need for a shift toward implementation-centered administration.
Kim stressed, "Politics is not about saying the right things, but about fixing the structures so that mistakes are not made," highlighting the importance of administration that works in practice over mere slogans, and of systems that can be executed rather than just declared.
In particular, he outlined his vision for "AI-based administrative innovation," which aims to connect public data to clarify the criteria for administrative decisions, thereby increasing both the speed and accountability of city governance.
Kim stated, "Asan is a city with even greater potential, but it has now reached a stage where it requires highly sophisticated management," adding, "Based on the planning experience I have gained at the national level, I will prepare Asan for its next stage."
The book launch event will feature an introduction to the main contents of the book, a presentation of future strategies for Asan, and communication with citizens.
