Song Eon-seok, People Power Party Floor Leader, Holds Press Briefing at the National Assembly on February 27
Song Eon-seok, floor leader of the People Power Party, stated on February 27, "With the Democratic Party of Korea engaging in violent political disorder, the Republic of Korea has entered the stage of a totalitarian single-party dictatorship." He added, "The People Power Party recognizes that the current system is not a normal democratic republic but a dictatorship, and we will mobilize emergency measures to fight back."
That day, Floor Leader Song held a press briefing at the National Assembly and criticized, "The Democratic Party is repeatedly undermining bipartisan agreements by secretly altering laws that have already passed standing committees and the Legislation and Judiciary Committee through closed-door caucus discussions, making last-minute fixes right before the plenary session. I cannot tell if the National Assembly even exists in Korea at this point."
On February 26, the Democratic Party of Korea passed a revision to the Criminal Act (commonly known as the ‘crime of legal distortion’) at the National Assembly plenary session after making some amendments. In addition, the nomination of Cheon Young-sik, a candidate for the Standing Committee of the Broadcasting Media Communication Committee recommended by the People Power Party, was voted down. Floor Leader Song remarked, "Looking at the Democratic Party's actions reminds me of China's Cultural Revolution, which created an atmosphere of fear throughout society and drove the country into chaos."

Floor Leader Song also commented that morning on the search and seizure conducted by the Joint Investigation Headquarters against the People Power Party, saying, "The special prosecutor and prosecutors, acting as the regime's lapdogs, intend to strike at the heart of the opposition." In response to the search and seizure, the People Power Party convened its members at party headquarters that morning.
Finally, regarding the passage of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Administrative Integration Act, Floor Leader Song said, "If the Democratic Party attaches other conditions, it will once again confirm that this is a policy solely intended to benefit Gwangju and Jeonnam." He nevertheless urged, "I strongly request the Democratic Party once again to ensure its passage during this session."
