During this faculty seminar, participants shared outstanding cases such as the establishment of the G-Lab&M-Campus-Hallym University industry-academic cooperation platform, as well as the role of universities in revitalizing local communities. There were also presentations on "How to Utilize the Campus Life Counseling Center," "AI-Based Educational Innovation Strategies," and "Utilization and Achievements of the AI LMS," providing an opportunity to explore directions for AI-driven educational innovation.
For the "Best Teacher Award," which recognizes those who have contributed to improving students' satisfaction with lectures and the quality of education, a total of 11 faculty members, including Professor Sung Gihyun (Department of Humanities), were selected and received certificates and encouragement awards. In addition, awards were given to winners of the Excellent Class Award, the Outstanding Teaching Portfolio Contest, and the Hi FIVE (Hallym index Function Innovative Various skills Exploration) Excellent Operation Department.
Furthermore, for the 2026 Distinguished Faculty Awards, which encourage research promotion activities among faculty members with outstanding research achievements, Professors Jung Incheol (Department of Artificial Intelligence Convergence), Kim Kyungwon (Department of Life Sciences), and Lee Chanhee (Future Convergence School) were appointed and received research incentive grants.

The university also held a retirement ceremony for professors dedicated to education and research who reached retirement or honorary retirement, including Nam Gihak (Department of Japanese Studies), Shin Kyungah (Department of Sociology), Kim Inyoung (Department of Political Science and Public Administration), Kim Taeseon (Department of Chemistry), Cho Yoonshin (Department of Biomedical Science), Sung Kunyoung (Department of Advanced Materials Engineering), Ray Allen Bruce (English Education Center), and Park Seobhyung (School of Software). In addition, 11 newly appointed faculty members, including Professor Lee Hwabong (Department of MICE Planning and Management), who will join the university in the 2026 academic year, were introduced.
In his opening address, President Choi Yanghee stated, "Amidst the decline in the school-age population and structural changes in universities, proactive innovation is necessary," and added, "Let us work together to strengthen Hallym University's future competitiveness through AI-based educational innovation and set a new standard in education."
