The Gyeonggi-do Economic and Science Promotion Agency will recruit 70 companies to participate in its Technology Startup Support Program until March 16.
The recruitment categories are: (1) support for prospective and early-stage technology startups, (2) support for a second challenge in technology startups, and (3) startup support in the companion animal industry.
The support program for prospective and early-stage technology startups will select 40 innovative startups in technology fields such as information technology (IT), bio, machinery, and materials. Prospective entrepreneurs will receive up to 10 million won in commercialization funds, and early-stage entrepreneurs within three years of founding will receive up to 30 million won.

The support program for a second challenge in technology startups targets 10 technology-based re-entrepreneurs who have previously experienced business closure. The top-performing company will receive 30 million won, two excellent companies will each receive 22 million won, and seven encouragement awardees will each receive 20 million won.
The Companion Animal Industry Startup Support Program, aimed at the rapidly growing companion animal market, will select 20 companies and provide up to 20 million won to prospective entrepreneurs and up to 30 million won to early-stage entrepreneurs.
Kim Hyungon, President of the Gyeonggi-do Economic and Science Promotion Agency, said, "This integrated announcement was prepared to help entrepreneurs receive the support they need at the right time according to the stage of their business," adding, "We will closely connect expert mentoring, investment linkage, and market entry support to establish Gyeonggi-do as the hub of technology startups in Korea."
