Sharing Survey Results from Holders and Gathering On-site Opinions
"Enhancing the Effectiveness of Support by Reflecting Opinions from the Forum"
The Cultural Heritage Administration will hold a forum titled "Discussion for Improving the Support Program for Performances by Holders of National Intangible Heritage" at 2:30 p.m. on the 27th at the Pungnyu Folk Theater in the National Intangible Heritage Education Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, together with National Assembly member Yang Moonseok and the National Heritage Promotion Institute.
The goal is to review the current operation of the existing support program, gather opinions from the field, and explore new directions for institutional improvement. About 150 people, including experts in traditional performance and arts and holders of the heritage, will attend to discuss development plans.
The forum will focus on the issues of the program and ways to improve it. The results of a survey conducted on holders from January 30 to February 10 will be shared, and participants will identify the limitations of the existing support methods and discuss alternatives.
An official from the Cultural Heritage Administration said, "We plan to carefully review the various opinions and proposals and gradually improve the support program," adding, "We will strengthen the foundation for creative and performance activities by the next generation of inheritors and enhance the systematic nature and effectiveness of government support."
