Domestic travel agency Tourtree announced that, to mark the upcoming March 1 Independence Movement Day, it will launch a special “Ulleungdo/Dokdo Tour Promotion” that allows people to reflect on the preciousness of Dokdo, Korean territory, and inspire patriotism, through Naver Shopping Live and Gongyoung Shopping.
Tourtree is the designated official sales agency for Ulleung Cruise, the only large passenger ship that enables safe travel to Ulleungdo without worrying about cancellations due to bad weather. Ulleung Cruise is an extra-large cruise vessel that can accommodate 1,170 passengers and is regarded as the key means of transportation that offers tourists the most comfortable and stable trip to Ulleungdo.
A Tourtree representative explained, “This special product for March 1 Independence Movement Day was planned to enable the Korean people, as citizens of the Republic of Korea, to visit Dokdo, our territory, in person to exercise national sovereignty and to reflect on its historical significance.”
This special product will be sold through two channels, each offering generous benefits tailored to customer needs.
First, on Naver Store, Ulleungdo/Dokdo 2-night-3-day and 3-night-4-day packages will be sold as a special deal via the “Naver Shopping Live” broadcast that will air at 11:00 a.m. on March 1. In particular, customers who purchase during the 11:00 a.m. Naver Shopping Live broadcast will receive an instant 5% discount coupon, and a special promotion will provide reward points equal to 1% of the payment amount.
In addition, through Gongyoung Shopping, Tourtree has pre-secured seats for the optimal travel season from April to June and will introduce the “Ulleungdo/Dokdo 3-night-4-day No-Option Package.” The itinerary is a complete no-option package with no additional cost burden, and it will be offered at a special promotional price of 499,000 won. Strong interest is expected from family travelers planning a spring trip to Ulleungdo.
