Former Daegu-Gyeongbuk Green Alliance Representative Lee Jaehyeok (55) completed his registration as a preliminary candidate for Daegu Dong-gu District Mayor on the 25th and has begun his full-fledged election campaign.
Preliminary candidate Lee Jaehyeok stated his intention to run, saying, "Dong-gu now stands at a crossroads of change," and pledged, "I will become a district mayor who proves himself not with slogans, but with results."
Preliminary candidate Lee Jaehyeok, a policymaker holding the Level-1 Certified Social Worker professional qualification, also unveiled a plan to enhance expertise and efficiency in the field of social welfare, which accounts for the largest share of Dong-gu District Office's budget. He said, "I will shift away from a welfare system centered on sacrifice and volunteerism to a professional social welfare administration based on data-driven case management, prevention-focused policies, and a performance evaluation framework," stressing, "I will transform welfare from charity into a right, and from mere support into a growth system that fosters self-reliance."
He declared, "A new worker for Dong-gu, a new future! I will create a Dong-gu where young people and merchants can smile," adding, "I will complete Dong-gu's transformation through action rather than words, and through results rather than plans."
Preliminary candidate Lee Jaehyeok has served as Representative of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Green Alliance, President of the Daegu Baseball Softball Association, and Standing Committee Member of the K2 Noise Damage Compensation Delayed Interest Emergency Response Committee, and he is currently serving as Vice Chairman of the Daegu City Chapter of the People Power Party.
