Proposing Learning Environments Tailored to Children's Temperaments
Ilroom, the home furniture brand of the Fursys Group, announced on the 26th that it had held an experiential pop-up, "Ilroom Study House: The Rhythm of the Little Workers," on Garak-ro 40-gil in Songpa-gu, Seoul, from January 16 to February 14.
This pop-up went beyond simply proposing student room interiors and started from a new perspective that interprets a child's study not in terms of outcomes or performance, but in terms of each child's own "rhythm."
Ilroom observed and studied children's learning behaviors and categorized them into four temperaments: creative-exploratory, challenge-autonomous, focus-immersive, and empathy-emotional. Viewing children as "little workers," the company sought to convey through this event the message that understanding how each child learns differently should be the starting point for designing student room spaces.
In addition, from January 19 to February 5, Ilroom also ran a small pop-up, "Camp for Little Workers," on the 5th floor of The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido.
Ilroom plans to continue to strengthen its expertise and credibility in the student room category as a brand that not only sells furniture, but also researches and proposes children's growth environments.
