Improving Transportation Convenience in Line with the Opening of Buksam Station on the Daegyeong Line
Chilgok County in North Gyeongsang Province announced that the "Buksam-Seokjeok Circular Bus" will begin operation on February 28.
The introduction of this new circular bus service is a customized transportation measure timed to coincide with the opening of Buksam Station on the Daegyeong Line. It has been promoted to guarantee mobility rights for residents of Buksam-eup and Seokjeok-eup and to improve their residential conditions.
The circular routes consist of two lines: Buksam Circular Route 11-7 (Buksam Station → Buksam-eup Office → Daedong Town → Buksam Middle School → Inpyeong Middle School → Buksam Station) and Seokjeok Circular Route 12-1 (Seokjeok-eup Office ↔ Hyosung Harrington ↔ Woobang Sincheonji ↔ Booyoung Apartment ↔ Janggok Middle School turning point).
New route: Circular 12-1 (7 one-way trips) (55 minutes per trip) / Provided by Chilgok County Office
This new route in particular is expected to play a major role in improving the commuting environment for students who have long suffered from inconveniences in using public transportation. To ensure safe and smooth operation, Chilgok County completed thorough preparations, including intensive inspections and trial runs conducted from mid-February.
An official from Chilgok County said, "We are pleased that parents and students, some of whom had even considered moving because of school commuting issues, can now resolve their inconveniences in getting to and from school," adding, "It will play a significant role as part of our county's population growth policy."
