50 Major MDs Mobilized from Companies Including Coupang and Kurly

The “2026 Distribution Consultation Meeting,” organized by Gyeonggi Province Co., Ltd. as part of its marketing support program for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), came to a close on the 26th at the Gyeonggi Arts Center Convention Hall, with participation from more than 100 SMEs in the province.

The Distribution Consultation Meeting, now in its fourth year, is one of the “2026 SME Marketing Support Programs” that Gyeonggi Province Co., Ltd. operates under commission from Gyeonggi Province.


By inviting current merchandise planners (MDs) from major distribution platforms, the program provides consulting to SMEs in the province, including support for expanding sales channels. At last year’s Distribution Consultation Meeting, 199 products from 83 provincial SMEs were notified that they could enter the platforms immediately or after making improvements, demonstrating the effectiveness of the program.


This year’s Distribution Consultation Meeting brought together 50 current MDs from 41 companies, including Coupang and Kurly, who offered their views to pre-registered SMEs in the province on topics ranging from product development and improvement plans to efficient sales methods and sales channels.


Tak Jeongsam, Head of Division at Gyeonggi Province Co., Ltd., said, “Now in its fourth year, the Distribution Consultation Meeting is a great opportunity for SMEs in the province to both resolve the questions they have had and seize new market opportunities,” adding, “We will play our intermediary role well so that the event does not end with simple consultations, but leads to direct sales and collaboration.”
