Uiryeong-gun Forestry Cooperative Donates 10 Million Won Scholarship to Uiryeong-gun Scholarship Foundation

With Hopes That They Will Grow Into People Who Protect Uiryeong's Forests and Community

Uiryeong-gun in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 26th that on the previous day, the Uiryeong-gun Forestry Cooperative had donated a 10 million won scholarship to the Uiryeong-gun Scholarship Foundation.

The Uiryeong-gun Forestry Cooperative provides management consulting and technical support to its members and forest owners through professional forest management personnel, and contributes to increasing forest income and revitalizing the local economy through supporting the distribution of forest products, proxy management of private forests, and mutual financial services.

In particular, since 2015 it has been donating scholarships every year to the Uiryeong-gun Scholarship Foundation, continuing its sharing efforts to foster local talent.

Cooperative President Jang Wonyoung stated, "We put our hopes into this donation that the talented people who grow up in the region will in turn become those who protect the forests and community of Uiryeong," adding, "The Uiryeong-gun Forestry Cooperative will continue to faithfully carry out its original role of enhancing the value of forests, while also consistently fulfilling its responsibility to coexist with the local community."
