CJ ENM announced on the 26th that it has added five acts to the artist lineup for "KCON JAPAN 2026," namely 8TURN, DXTEEN, Hype Princess, Heartz Wave, and the contestants of "PRODUCE 101 JAPAN NEW WORLD."
KCON Japan will be held for three days from May 8 to 10 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. This year’s event plans to offer an evolved Korean cultural experience through participatory content that reflects the demands of the global fandom and a variety of colorful stages.
The additional lineup features artists known for their performance skills. 8TURN is praised for presenting the textbook example of a growth-type idol group, backed by explosive stage production and strong concept execution.
DXTEEN is a six-member global boy group created through the "PRODUCE 101 JAPAN" series, and the cumulative digital streams of its sixth single "Ryoukataomoi" recently surpassed 100 million. Hype Princess is a seven-member global hip-hop group formed through Mnet’s Korea-Japan joint project "Unpretty Rapstar: Hip Hop Princess."
Heartz Wave is a five-member global band that emerged from Mnet’s global band-making project "Steel Heart Club." Contestants of "PRODUCE 101 JAPAN NEW WORLD," who will debut through the fourth season of "PRODUCE 101 JAPAN," will also take part.
Since its launch in Irvine, United States, in 2012, KCON has been held in various regions around the world and has established a music-centered festival model. It has grown into an event that encompasses the full spectrum of Korean culture, including beauty, food, and content, and has recorded a cumulative offline audience of 2.23 million across 14 regions worldwide, including Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas.
