Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. is opening "EE Place," a fashion and lifestyle curation store favored by Millennials & Gen Z, to attract more customers. With EE Place bringing in popular streetwear brands, the number of customers in their 20s visiting Play Spot is expected to increase.
EE Place, which opens on the 26th at Gwangju Shinsegae's Play Spot, is the first store in Gwangju and Jeollanam-do, following its locations in Seoul Hongdae, Suwon Starfield, and Shinsegae Department Store Centum City. In the approximately 79-pyeong (about 261 square meters) store, products from more than 20 brands, including "Oioi," "Tansanmagnesium," "The Vinyl House," and "Weekenders," will be available.
EE Place is a fashion and lifestyle curation store. With metal shelving and clean lighting, every corner of the store is gaining popularity as a photo spot.
The store name "EE" is an abbreviation of "EXCEPTIONAL EYES," embodying the idea of approaching things from a new perspective and presenting them differently. EE Place aims to be not just a sales space, but a communication space that conveys each brand's identity to consumers.
To celebrate its opening, Gwangju Shinsegae Play Spot EE Place is holding free-gift giveaways and discount promotions. From the 26th until March 5, an "EE Lucky Box" event will be held, where customers who spend 200,000 won or more will receive, on a first-come, first-served basis, an "EE Random Box" containing a tumbler, a ballpoint pen, and other items. Brand-specific discount events of 10% to 30% will also run until March 15.
Lee Jeongil, Play Spot team leader at Gwangju Shinsegae, said, "We are excited to introduce the lifestyle curation store EE Place for the first time in Gwangju and Jeollanam-do," adding, "Thanks to the carefully selected products and sophisticated interior, it is already known as a popular photo spot, so we recommend that many customers visit and see it for themselves."
