[Today’s New Arrival] Narasella To Sell 240 Bottles Of “Roger Goulart The Roger Mark II” Exclusively In Korea

Narasella, the first listed company in Korea’s wine distribution industry, announced on the 26th that it will officially launch in Korea the flagship sparkling wine “Roger Goulart The Roger Mark II 2017” from Spanish premium Cava producer Roger Goulart.

This new product is a limited-edition wine that is produced only in vintages where grapes of outstanding quality are harvested. Only 4,500 bottles were produced worldwide, of which just 240 bottles have been released in Korea. It will be available in limited quantities at Narasella’s directly operated stores “Narasella Reserve” and “Wine Fix.”

“The Roger Mark II 2017” is a technology-intensive flagship line that combines the traditional winemaking methods of the Penedes region with French winemaking philosophy. Classified as Gran Reserva, it uses only top-quality grapes selected through a strict sorting process. Even among the first-press juice (cuv?e), less than 50% is used, which is said to create a delicate structure and high purity.

After secondary fermentation in the bottle, it undergoes extended bottle aging for 75 months, resulting in deep flavors and finely textured bubbles. It is a Brut Nature style with no dosage, maximizing the grape’s intrinsic character and minerality.

The blend consists of traditional Cava varieties Xarel-lo (30%), Macabeo (20%), and Parellada (20%), combined with Pinot Noir (15%) and Chardonnay (15%). It features a pale golden color, aromas of baked pastry and dried flowers derived from lees aging, as well as fruit notes of apple, peach, and pear balanced with acidity. Brioche and nutty nuances add further depth. It pairs well with Jam?n, aged cheeses, and chicken dishes served with herbs.

A Narasella representative explained, “The ‘The Roger’ series is the highest-end lineup from Roger Goulart,” adding, “This Mark II is the second edition following ‘Mark I’ released in 2013, and it is a one-of-a-kind vintage created without any predefined formula.”
