The One Company One School Financial Education program, launched in 2015 and led by the Financial Supervisory Service, supports financial education by having each financial company form sisterhood ties with nearby elementary, middle, and high schools.

On the 26th, KB Kookmin Bank announced that it had received the Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service Award in the excellent financial company category at the “2025 One Company One School Financial Education Best Practices Awards” ceremony hosted by the Financial Supervisory Service the previous day.

Last year, KB Kookmin Bank provided financial education 2,781 times to approximately 73,000 teenagers. This year as well, it plans to continue offering financial education tailored to the level of young people for around 800 partner schools nationwide.

In particular, together with the KB Financial Public Interest Foundation, it ran on-site, experiential financial education programs that lowered the psychological barriers to finance. By expanding educational opportunities, it helped narrow the education gap between the Seoul metropolitan area and regional areas. Through these efforts, it was evaluated as having expanded the foundation for practicing “inclusive finance.”

In addition, KB Kookmin Bank has been providing financial education that covers all generations through various initiatives, such as “Banban House,” a short-form drama-style content for young people aimed at preventing rental fraud damage, “Financial Camp” for young people who have completed the College Scholastic Ability Test, and a voice phishing prevention play for senior customers.

A KB Kookmin Bank official emphasized, “We will continue to actively practice inclusive finance by improving financial accessibility and supporting region-specific customized education.”

Hyundai Card has received the Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service Award for three consecutive years, from 2023 through last year. Last year, it was the only winner among specialized credit finance companies.

Hyundai Card also focused on narrowing the gap between major cities and underserved regional areas. While its existing sisterhood partnerships mainly involved schools in the Seoul metropolitan area, from last year it expanded its experiential education programs to students at schools in Jeonnam and Chungbuk.

Hyundai Card has been running the One Company One School Financial Education program since 2015. It enhanced the effectiveness of education by using engaging formats such as musicals and escape-room-style mystery games. Over roughly the past 10 years, about 37,000 students have participated in approximately 830 sessions of the program.

In particular, to support the newly introduced high school elective course “Finance and Economic Life,” it has been offering “Visiting Special Lectures on Finance and Economic Life,” helping students improve their financial decision-making capabilities.

In last year’s Financial Supervisory Service evaluation of financial consumer protection practices, Hyundai Card was the only financial company to receive a “Good” rating for two consecutive rounds.

A Hyundai Card official said, “We will further develop our educational programs so that future generations can understand finance more easily and feel more familiar with it.”
