Yuhan Foundation To Fund Tuition For 158 Scholarship Students...65 Billion Won In Scholarships Planned This Year

Yuhan Foundation announced on the 26th that it held the "2026 Yuhan Foundation Tuition Scholarship Award Ceremony" at the Yuhan Corporation headquarters in Daebang-dong, Seoul, on the 25th, and will provide full tuition support through graduation for 158 new scholarship students.

This year, 158 students, including Kim Minkyoung from Catholic Kkottongnae University, were selected as tuition scholarship recipients and will receive full tuition support split across two semesters. Under Yuhan Foundation's tuition scholarship program, as long as the scholarship students continue their studies diligently, they will keep receiving full tuition support until graduation.


In addition to this tuition scholarship program, Yuhan Foundation plans to implement scholarship projects totaling 6.5 billion won this year, including living expense scholarships for university and graduate students and special scholarships for university students born in North Korea.


The event was attended by key figures including Won Heemok, Chairman of Yuhan Foundation, Choi Sanghoo, Chairman of Yuhan Academy, Park Junmo, President of Yuhan Scholarship Alumni Association, and Lee Byungman, Vice President of Yuhan Corporation.


In his congratulatory remarks, Chairman Won Heemok said, "This scholarship is not merely financial assistance, but a token of trust that carries on the will of the late Dr. Yuhan," and added, "I hope you will grow into warm-hearted leaders who contribute to the well-being of the community."


Yuhan Foundation is a public interest foundation established in 1970 by the late Dr. Yuhan, who was an independence activist, entrepreneur, and educator. Since its establishment, the foundation has selected university and graduate students every year and provided them with scholarships for 57 years. The cumulative number of beneficiaries is about 10,200 on an annual headcount basis, and the total amount of support provided is approximately 39 billion won.
