Expected to Review Investigation Progress and Request Cooperation
On the 26th, Special Prosecutor Kwon Changyoung of the second comprehensive special counsel investigation, launched to uncover various suspicions surrounding former President Yoon Suk Yeol and former First Lady Kim Keon Hee, will pay courtesy visits to the three special prosecutors (on insurrection, Kim Keon Hee, and the death of the Marine on duty) and the head of the National Office of Investigation.

According to the legal community, the second comprehensive special counsel team is expected to meet with the three special prosecutors and the head of the National Office of Investigation on this day to grasp the progress of their investigations and to request cooperation, including the dispatch of prosecutors.
The special counsel team plans to accelerate its investigation, including summoning those involved and conducting searches and seizures, as soon as it completes courtesy visits to existing investigative bodies and its review of the investigation records.
Having held a plaque-unveiling ceremony the previous day and officially begun its investigation, the second comprehensive special counsel will reinvestigate 17 issues, including suspicions involving former President Yoon and former First Lady Kim that the three special prosecutors failed to clarify, as well as allegations related to the December 3 Martial Law.
