Expansion Across All Sectors Including Semiconductors, Robotics, and Chemicals... Exceptional Benefits Such as 60 Million Won Annual Salary and Dormitory Housing
Eleven companies designated as "youth-friendly enterprises" by South Chungcheong Province are set to hire more than 80 young talents this year. Some of these companies are offering exceptionally generous benefits, including starting salaries in the 50 million to 60 million won range for new hires, as well as full support for dormitory housing and tuition. This is seen as targeting two goals: attracting young talent and enhancing the competitiveness of local industries.
According to South Chungcheong Province on February 26, the 11 companies selected last December through a comprehensive evaluation of wages, employment stability, welfare, management awareness, and satisfaction levels among young employees will carry out recruitment this year across key industries such as semiconductors, robotics, chemicals, environment, automation, and firefighting. Job categories will also be diverse, ranging from research and development (R&D) to quality control, sales, autonomous driving technology, and production roles.

Kumkang Engineering, a company specializing in environmental facilities, will hire 12 people, including personnel to operate public sewage treatment facilities in Yesan, Boryeong, and Dangjin. For employees working in Yesan, the annual salary is around 60 million won based on a 40-hour workweek.

In addition, semiconductor equipment manufacturer ATE ENG, robotics systems company Ara, Useong Yanghaeng in Nonsan, Jangam Kals in Asan, and Pharos System in Hongseong will also focus their recruitment on technical, production management, and manufacturing personnel.
Since the designation of youth-friendly enterprises, tangible hiring results have begun to appear. In January alone, seven young people were newly hired, and, according to the provincial government, many companies have reported increases in both the number of applicants and recruitment inquiries.
Nam Sungyeon, Director of Youth Policy for South Chungcheong Province, said, "Since the designation of youth-friendly enterprises, corporate image and trust have improved, and positive effects are emerging," adding, "We will continue to expand the local employment environment so that young people choose to stay in the region."
