Name change at next month's regular general shareholders' meeting
IP expansion from infants and toddlers to all age groups
Alliance-based management with Ace Factory and Studio Episode
Carrysoft will change its name to "Episode Company" and fully expand its intellectual property (IP) business domain.
The company announced on February 26 that it will push ahead with the name change, starting from the regular general shareholders' meeting to be held next month. It plans to broaden its existing content revenue structure, which has focused on infants and toddlers, to encompass all age groups and all genres.
To this end, it will begin full-fledged alliance-based management together with Ace Factory and Studio Episode, which it recently acquired. By introducing a horizontal model, it will guarantee the independence of each company while thoroughly sharing IP assets at the group level.
Episode Company, as the headquarters, will serve as the control tower, integrating and managing all assets, and will apply artificial intelligence (AI) technology to the production process to reduce costs. Ace Factory will take the lead in planning original IP and collaborating with global over-the-top (OTT) platforms, based on its roster of actors and production capabilities. Studio Episode will drive revenue diversification by combining web content with commerce.
A company representative said, "As soon as we complete the name change procedures, we plan to move aggressively to secure external IP," adding, "We will organically link individual content and build a vast universe targeting the global market without any setbacks."
