The county promotes regular blood donation activities two to four times a year, striving to secure a stable blood supply in the region and to spread the value of respect for life. In particular, it plans to lead participation in the public sector to draw residents' interest and involvement, and to help establish a culture of blood donation throughout the local community.

Blood donors receive basic blood tests such as blood type testing, hepatitis B and C testing, and liver function tests. They are also provided with benefits including confirmation of their health status, recognition of four hours of volunteer service, issuance of a blood donation certificate, and commemorative gifts.

Oh Donggyu, Director of the Yeongdeok-gun Public Health Center, said, "Recently, due to population aging and demographic changes, it has become increasingly difficult to secure an adequate blood supply. We will work to widely promote the importance of blood donation and encourage continuous participation so that the culture of life-sharing can take firm root in the local community."

An official from Yeongdeok-gun noted that group blood donation serves as an important social safety net by sustaining the treatment base for emergency and severe patients, and expressed the expectation that regular blood donation activities will help spread the value of sharing within the local community.
