The Fiocruz Foundation, a nonprofit state-run institution under Brazil's Ministry of Health, is regarded as an influential health science and technology institution in South America and a leading global public health research organization. It was established to strengthen the public health system and improve public health in Brazil by disseminating medical knowledge and technology in the country. The foundation is known to wield influence over the formulation of local public healthcare policies and the overall government procurement market.

A GC Green Cross MS representative stated, "We signed this memorandum of understanding with the Fiocruz Foundation to expand the market for point-of-care testing (POCT) products in Latin America."

Meanwhile, the Korea-Brazil Business Forum, which took place in conjunction with Brazilian President Lula's visit to Korea, was hosted by the Federation of Korean Industries and APEX Brazil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). The event, attended by about 400 participants including major business leaders and government officials from both countries, was held on the 23rd at the Crystal Ballroom of Lotte Hotel Seoul in Sogong-dong.
