“Passion Fruit and Cherry” Flavors Highlight Refreshing Crispness

Dong-A Otsuka announced on the 24th that it has launched two new products under its carbonated water brand “Limewasser.”

The newly introduced flavors are “Passion Fruit” and “Cherry.” The Passion Fruit flavor emphasizes the refreshing taste and crispness characteristic of tropical fruits, while the Cherry flavor adds the briskness of carbonation to its sweet-and-sour taste.

Limewasser means “clear and clean water” in German. Unlike the typical method of injecting carbonation into purified water, this product is characterized by the use of natural bedrock water. The company explained that this allows it to deliver a clean finish and smooth carbonation.

The production method is also highlighted as a differentiating factor. During the water intake process, classical music is played to convey positive energy to the water, and musical-note designs are applied to the package barcode in an attempt to create an emotional connection with consumers. It also features a stronger level of carbonation compared to the existing products.

A Dong-A Otsuka official said, “Unlike conventional carbonated water based on purified water, Limewasser uses drinking spring water, giving it a clean taste and refreshing feel,” adding, “With the newly launched Passion Fruit and Cherry flavors, we expect to offer consumers a new experience.”
