Gyeonggi Tourism Organization to Provide up to 150 Million Won for Tourism Business Model Development

The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization is openly recruiting companies to participate in the "2026 Gyeonggi Tourism Startup Collaboration Project."

This project has been planned to support the development of tourism business models that utilize tourism resources within the province and the creation of local travel platforms.

After signing an agreement with the selected companies, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will provide up to 150 million won in project funding (with an additional company contribution of at least 10%). The project funding will be paid in two installments: a 50% advance payment and the remaining 50% after the final evaluation.

In addition, the organization will provide support such as consulting for establishing business models (BM), assistance with beta-version testing and business advancement, and promotion through media channels of Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization (including social media, the official website, and press releases).

Eligible applicants are domestic sole proprietors or corporate businesses that have been in operation for 7 years or less, and there are no restrictions on business sectors. However, businesses that do not utilize tourism content within the province, or companies that receive overlapping benefits from similar support programs, will be excluded. In addition, selected companies will be required to register as tourism businesses in the future in order to sell travel products.

Applications can be submitted until April 3, by visiting the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization website (https://ggtour.or.kr/gto/).

A representative of the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization said, "Through this project, we plan to foster differentiated tourism content within the province and ensure that tourism content planned by the private sector can be connected to the actual market," adding, "We will systematically support the discovery of competitive tourism business models by private companies and help them move toward practical commercialization through the developed local travel platforms."
