Wildfire in Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Continues for Second Day... Evacuation Order Issued for Residents

An evacuation order has been issued for residents due to a wildfire that broke out in Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam.

At 8:55 a.m. on the 22nd, the Hamyang-gun Office sent out a disaster safety text message stating, "The wildfire is spreading in the area of San 23-2, Changwon-ri, Macheon-myeon," and urging, "Residents of Gyeonbuldong and hikers must immediately evacuate to the Gojung Village Hall."

The wildfire started at around 9:14 p.m. the previous day in a hillside forest in Changwon-ri, Macheon-myeon, Hamyang-gun, and has not been extinguished for about 12 hours.
