Gangwon Provincial Dance Company to Hold First 2026 Planned Performance "Sinabeureonchi Brunch Concert - Companion" on 25th

The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Dance Company (Artistic Director: Vice Governor Yeo Junghyup) will present a special planned performance, "Sinabeureonchi Brunch Concert - Companion," at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday the 25th at the rehearsal stage on the 3rd floor of the Gangwon Gugak Arts Center.

"Sinabeureonchi Brunch" is a compound word of "Sinabeuro" (little by little, without realizing it) and "brunch." Unlike existing evening performances, it is designed so that audiences can leisurely enjoy dance during the daytime. It reflects the intention of naturally permeating into the everyday lives of the audience1234.

This performance, which is being presented for the second time following last year, will open with a celebratory dance by Jeong Gwanyoung, a member of the National Dance Company of Korea. This will be followed by the premiere of a new creative "Sword Dance," "Okhoyeon," a duet for a man and a woman, and a solo dance set to Gui-eum accompaniment, offering a diverse program that showcases the deepened artistry of the provincial dance company.

Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer Kim Jinmi said, "We want to be a provincial dance company that is always together with the daily lives of the residents," adding, "I hope dance will become a culture that breathes close to life, rather than an art form encountered only on special days."
