Commitment to a New Year
The Seongju County Women's Organizations Council in North Gyeongsang Province held its 2026 annual general meeting on February 12 at the multipurpose conference room of the Seongju Eoulrim Complex Town, with about 50 members in attendance.
The annual general meeting proceeded in the following order: a report on the 2025 settlement of accounts and project performance of the Women's Organizations Council, followed by deliberation on the 2026 business plan and budget (draft).

Yeo Hwaseon, President of the Seongju County Women's Organizations Council, said, "I would like to thank all the members who actively participated in the council's activities over the past year of 2025 despite their busy daily lives. I hope that through this general meeting, it will become a valuable occasion to strengthen solidarity among members and to unite our aspirations for regional development."
The Seongju County Women's Organizations Council consists of a total of 16 organizations and 10,189 members working together. The council is striving to expand women's participation in society and improve their status by organizing events to commemorate Gender Equality Week and holding capacity-building workshops. It is also continuing volunteer activities throughout the region, such as volunteering at free meal centers and offering free beverages at local events including the Seongju Chamoe National Marathon and the Seongju Chamoe & Life Culture Festival.
