On the morning of the Lunar New Year, the 17th, temperatures will be low and it will feel cold, but the cold is expected to gradually ease from the afternoon. When going out, it will be better to dress warmly in the morning and more lightly during the day.

The morning low is forecast to range from -7 to 3 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high from 4 to 13 degrees Celsius.

In the morning, temperatures will fall below 0 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country. With the wind blowing, the perceived temperature will be even lower.

Inland areas of the Gyeongsang region may see temperature differences of 15 degrees Celsius or more between day and night, so people should take care of their health.

In the central region, the Gyeongsang region, and Jeju, it will be mostly cloudy at first and then gradually clear up, while the Jeolla region will see a lot of clouds.

In the eastern part of Jeju, there may be spots of raindrops of less than 0.1 millimeters.

Waves at sea will be 0.5 to 2.5 meters off the east coast, 0.5 to 1.0 meters off the west coast, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters off the south coast.

In the outer offshore waters (the open sea within about 200 kilometers from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in both the West Sea and the South Sea.
