President Lee Jaemyung's job approval rating has risen for three consecutive weeks, reaching 56.5%.


According to a public opinion poll released on the 16th by polling agency Realmeter (commissioned by Energy Economy News and conducted from the 9th to the 13th through an automated response system to mobile phone calls among 2,524 people aged 18 or older nationwide, with a margin of error of ±2.0 percentage points at the 95% confidence level and a response rate of 5.2%), President Lee's job approval rating was 56.5%, up 0.7 percentage points from the previous week. The disapproval rating was 38.9%, down 0.2 percentage points, and 4.6% responded "Don't know."


Realmeter analyzed, "Criticism of tax benefits for owners of multiple homes in the real estate market, and a strong commitment to eradicating speculation, have resonated with the public," adding, "These factors, combined with favorable economic indicators such as the KOSPI surpassing 5,500, have helped increase trust in state affairs."

As for party approval ratings (conducted on the 12th and 13th among 10,009 people aged 18 or older nationwide through an automated response system to mobile phone calls, with a margin of error of ±3.1 percentage points at the 95% confidence level and a response rate of 4.2%), the Democratic Party of Korea recorded 44.8%, while the People Power Party stood at 36.1%.


The Democratic Party of Korea fell by 2.8 percentage points from the previous week, whereas the People Power Party rose by 1.2 percentage points.


The Rebuilding Korea Party was recorded at 3.8%, the Reform Party at 2.7%, and the Progressive Party at 1.5%, respectively. Those with no party affiliation accounted for 9.2%.
