Slopestyle is an event in which riders go down a course composed of various features and are scored on their tricks to determine the rankings. Each rider had two runs, and their better score counted as their individual result, with the top 12 advancing to the final. It is common for big air riders to also compete in slopestyle. The qualifiers were originally scheduled for the 16th, but were moved up by one day due to the forecast of worsening weather in Livigno.

In her first run, Yoo Seungeun passed safely through the opening rail section and then excelled in the jump section, successfully landing three tricks, including a 1080-degree spin. In her second run, after a slight mistake on the first rail feature, she chose not to attempt overly difficult tricks, instead riding the course down safely, which resulted in a score of 18.6 points. Her first-run score was thus recorded as her final result.

Reigning Olympic champion in this event from the Beijing Games, Zoi Sadowski-Synnott of New Zealand, advanced to the final in first place with 88.08 points, earning a chance at back-to-back titles. Murase Kokomo of Japan, who won the big air event at this Olympics, finished second in qualifying with 84.93 points.
