The Government Employees Pension Service announced on the 13th that it will launch the first half of 2026 in-person education program for public officials scheduled to retire, in order to support their stable retirement preparation and planning for their second life.
This first-half program will be held from February 23 to July 16 at eight training centers nationwide, targeting approximately 7,000 public officials scheduled to retire (14,000 annually).
The retirement preparation program is designed as a customized curriculum in 13 areas, including future planning, re-employment, start-ups, and social contribution, so that public officials nearing retirement can prepare for life after retirement. It is scheduled to be offered a total of 93 times.
Chairman Kim Donggeuk said, "We are improving the curriculum by reflecting the diverse needs of public officials scheduled to retire," adding, "We will continue to support their old-age preparation and social re-engagement through highly effective training programs."
